Our trip to
Estonia has been really great and interesting so far. We both have never been
to Estonia before so we did not really know what to expect but after this week
we got to know it a lot better.
From what
we have seen, Estonia has much more nature and most things are cheaper compared
to Germany. Both of us really love the landscape and even though we have been
told that this is not the ideal time in the year to visit Estonia we are very
impressed. Saturday we went to the moor with our host Merike, her sister and
her sister`s boyfriend. It was so refreshing that we did not see any houses at
all.
The Kanepi
Gümnaasium is quite different to our school. One of the biggest differences is
the size, for example, in the 12th grade here there are only six and
in our grade there are 114 students. We cannot imagine only having lessons with
less than 10 people but we think it is better than our classes with at least 25
people because the teachers can help the individuals better.
We are so
happy being guests of our host family. They are very nice and caring and the
food is incredible. They also have a sauna which is more common here than it is
in Germany, we used it three times this week.
Now May
wants to build a sauna in her garden and we plan to take some of the food back
to Germany. For example these small meatballs that we don`t have at home.
We really
enjoyed our trip!
Sincerely
May and Luca
