German-Estonian Exchange
On
the 30th of March our group started at the train station in Bielefeld to drive
to the airport in Düsseldorf where we took the plane to Riga. After arriving in
Riga a bus was waiting for us to take us to Kanepi. When we arrived it was
already dark outside and our host families picked us up at the schoolyard. That
was the first night in our host families and when we woke up the other day it
was really cold and there was snow outside. Amelie and I were both hosted by
teachers from the Kanepi School so we spend a lot of time together. We spend
the weekends together with our host families and during the schooldays we had a
different program every day. We lived in the countryside of Kanepi so we saw a
lot of nature and wild animals like deer and birds.
In
our point of view the aqua center was the most exciting trip because we had a
lot of fun swimming in the pools and going to the sauna. Both of us had never been
in a sauna before so it was really interesting and now we like it. Our host
families were very warm hearted and friendly so we liked to stay with them the whole
exchange.
All
in all it was an amazing trip to Estonia and we gained some new experiences.
